Today we shall look at the SWOT-PEST ANALYSIS or your OPPORTUNITY ANALYSIS.

It is a simple yet technical exercise that is key in actualizing your dream.

So having completed your SWOT analysis, you probably have a range of opportunities to enable you meet your goals or dreams and also your PEST analysis which has brought to light some exciting and not so exciting channels that are not worth pursuing.The good news is that you do not have to pursue everything in life, but only ones that make sense.

Now, match your internal STRENGTHS with external POLITICAL FACTORS and record the result in the SP strategies.You should then do same technique to get the others: ie
                                  SP, SE, SS, ST,WP,WE,WS,WT,OP,OE,OS,OT,TP,TE,TS,TT
                                                                     Simple isn't it?
To fully achieve this,you must necessarily create rows and columns where you shall fill in the results.
Your SWOT should be vertically arranged.while your PEST should be horizontal.ie

 POLITICAL FACTORS

S.W.O.T - EVERY FRESHMAN'S INDUCTION LESSON

SWOT is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses,Opportunities and Threats

  Your personal SWOT analysis will help you analyze and match your Competences and capabilities to the opportunities existing within the environment.

STRENGTHS

When thinking about your strength, answer the following questions:

• what are you really good at?
• what skills do other people recognize in you?
• what do you do better than most people around you? 
• what do you get recognized and  rewarded for?
• what about yourself, are you most proud of or satisfied with?
• what experiences, resources or connections do you have access to that others don't?

WEAKNESSES

To identify your weaknesses, use the following questions as a guide. The trick is to recognize them and manage them appropriately.

• What do you try to do that you just can't seem to master?

• What do you do only because you have to do it only to satisfy someone else?
• Are there one or two  aspects  of your personality that hold you back?
• what do other people most often identify as a weakness for you?
• where are you vulnerable?
• where do you lack experience, resources or connections where others have them?

OPPORTUNITIES

Opportunities turn your attention outside yourself to identify key elements that you can build on or take advantage of that will improve your chances of success. identifying your opportunities answers the questions:

• In what ways can you maximize your strengths?
• What opportunities are open to people who do these things well?
• What would you love to do that you are good at?
• How can you maximize your strengths?
• Where do you see the most potential growth for yourself ?
• what trends are having an impact on your current project or one you are thinking of pursuing?

THREATS

These are things that can derail you from your dream.Threats lose effect when properly managed and prepared for. To identify these potential hazards you need to ask yourself the following questions:

• Do you have weaknesses that need to be addressed before you can move forward?
• What problems could your weaknesses cause if left unchecked?
• What setbacks might you face?
• What obstacles have other people overcome when they were trying to get what you want to achieve.

Now, it is my joyful desire that you begin taking the steps you need to move to the next level.

Therefore take time out and do a SWOT analysis of yourself in order to begin the transition to a life of fulfillment.
